Training for the Auction of Liquor vends in UT Chandigarh through GePNIC

Excise Department, UT Chandigarh holds auction of liquor shops every year. This year department
decided to hold it through e-tendering and requested NIC Chandigarh UT unit to provide technical
support for this auction. NIC Chandigarh UT Unit, after rounds of discussions with Excise
Department, advised the department to float separate tender for each vend instead of single
tender for all vends. Department was given complete demonstration of etendering process on
https://demoeproc.nic.in for this auction. Some of the processes were reengineered based on the
suggestions given by NIC and were accepted by the department eg regarding documents and EMD
to be submitted by bidders.
