Workshop on Elastic Stack for Data Analytics

A one-day workshop was held on “Elastic Stack for Data Analytics” at UT State Guest House, Chandigarhon 4th October 2019. The workshop was attended by NIC officers from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh. The workshop was organized by NIC UT Chandigarh and was conducted by team of Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Scientist-F, Data Modelling Mining WarehousingDivision and Sh Alok Pathak, Scientist-D, Software Testing Support Division from NIC Headquarters, New Delhi. Three case studies were covered through VC sessions with NIC Pune and NIC Delhi.

Dr Manoj Kumar Gupta started the workshop by introducing Data Analytics and related concepts. He also took a session on Modeling Data – Techniques to manage Relational Data in Elasticsearch. In his sessions, Sh Alok Pathak covered Elastic Stack – Basic Concepts, Architecture and Components, Installation & Data Ingestion and then Data Search / Visualization. A session on Implementation Example – Data Pinpointer – For Precise Search, developed by NIC Hqrs team, was also demonstrated and appreciated by the participants.
Three case studies were covered through VC on the projects eCourts by Sh. Ashish Shiradhonkar from NIC Pune, Log Analytics by eMail Division and ICJS by Sh. Shashi Kant Sharma.
